Humanities Director Dan Brooks and Adjunct Humanities Instructor Mike Dodge will put their Shakespearean training to good use when they perform in Heritage Theatre Group's production of the Bard's "The Taming of the Shrew," which opens Thursday, August 6, at Spectrum Theatre. One of Shakespeare’s most clever and sophisticated comedies, "The Taming of the Shrew" is a tale of two sisters. The beautiful Bianca is the target of suitors young and old, but her father will not allow her to wed until her older sister, the fiery Katharina, is married first. Chaos ensues when Petruchio enters and pledges not only to marry her but also tame her shrewish ways. A true battle of wits and will results. Nancee Moes and Dustin Mason star as Kate and Petruchio in this rowdy comedy directed by Grand Award winner Karen Libman. The play runs August 6-9 and 13-16. All performances are at 8 pm, except the Sunday matinees at 2 pm. Individual ticket prices are $18 for adults, $14 tickets for seniors and $10 tickets for students with ID. Thursday evening and Sunday matinee tickets will be priced at $10 ($5 for students with ID).
